The Plot In You Rocks Charleston For The First Time Ever

This past Sunday, heavy rock band The Plot In You brought their 28 date "Watch The Divide Tour" through Charleston, SC. This was the bands first time playing in Charleston & its safe to say they absolutely rocked the city.

The night began with Banks Arcade, a raucous 4 piece heavy outfit from New-Zealand. I had not heard of this band prior to this show. After watching their set, I immediately added them to my Spotify playlist to listen to later. Their live performance was super solid & this band seems to be very much on the rise. There were also multiple crowd members singing back the words of the songs, so they obviously have began to grow a solid US fanbase.

The Next band on the package was Thornhill, I unfortunately missed most of their set, but have heard their music before & can vouch that they are a good band and have solid recordings, definitely another band to check out if you haven't already.

Then, Holding Absence played their set. Honestly, I was surprisingly wow'd by their performance. Perhaps I need to go back and revisit some of their recorded work. They killed their set, with big energy and huge crowd participation. The star of the band might be the drummer who was going insane the entire set. 10/10 performance from a band I wasn't initially expecting to be blown away by. (Always keep an open mind)

Then, The Plot In You closed out the show with one of the best live performances I've seen in a while from a heavy band. Ive always really loved The Plot In You, and have immense respect for vocalist Landon Tewers. I knew going into the night it was going to be a great show, but I didn't expect them to be better live than they are on wax, and it was so.

The bands energy was explosive from beginning to end, and it was clear that every member of the band brought their all for this set. The Plot In You have been an established band for a while now, but I still feel like they are slept on more than they should be. Landon Tewers is one of the most multi-talented vocalists in the scene right now, with screams and clean vocals that simply blow the crowd away. Im not sure what else I can say about this band without bias, so if for some reason you've been living under a rock & haven't heard of them, do yourself a favor and check them out right now.

If you've been contemplating going to the tour, do it.
